Bayou St John and City Park New Orleans Engagement Photographer

Bayou St John New Orleans Engagement Photographer

Maci and Brian met at a friends wedding a few years back in New Orleans. The very next day they had their first date at Bayou Boogaloo and the rest is history! When we were talking about their engagement session, I knew we had to take some photos along Bayou St. John, and I’m so happy they agreed to do so! We met in City Park under some beautiful Oak trees before heading over to the bayou for sunset! It filled my heart to be able to photograph them where they had their first date. I loved that the backdrop to their photos was so meaningful to their story and also the sunset was *beautiful* that day! French Quarter and City Park Engagement Photographer: Monique + Ben

French Quarter New Orleans Engagement Photographer

Monique and Ben had their French Quarter engagement session on what turned out to be the hottest day in October. It hit 100 degrees but you’d never know as they were as happy as could be and total troopers! Ben proposed to Monique on a Mississippi River cruise, so it was important to them to incorporate that area for their photos. I always love when the backdrop in photos can represent a personal connection and I think those photos turned out to be my favorite of all! After photographing them throughout the French Quarter and near the River, we went into City Park where they included some photos with their adorable Golden Retriever pup. Tree of Life New Orleans Wedding Photographer

Tree of Life wedding photographer

Jessie and Matthew have a shared love of food and NOLA, so it was an easy decision for them to have their wedding in New Orleans. Their ceremony was at my favorite place in the whole city, the Tree of Life, and was officiated by Annette Buffone of NOLA Ceremonies. Jessie walked down the long aisle through Audubon Park while guests were serenaded by Kinfolk Brass Band. The ceremony was held under the branches and moss of the Tree of Life while their closest friends and family surrounded them. After the ceremony, guests had cocktails, mingled, and danced to Kinfolk. Wedding ceremonies tend to go by quickly, so cocktails after at the Tree of Life was an especially lovely idea to get to enjoy how beautiful that area is. After cocktails, wedding guests boarded the Trinity Trolley, making their way to Coquette on Magazine Street for a wedding dinner. Southern Hotel Covington Louisiana Wedding Photographer: Ashley + Rob

Southern Hotel Covington Wedding Photographer

Ashley and Rob got married at the Southern Hotel in Covington, Louisiana on the most gorgeous fall day. There was just enough breeze in the air to perfectly lift Ashley’s gorgeous veil during their portraits. To all future couples getting married in the New Orleans area: take note of how gorgeous the Southern Hotel is! After getting ready onsite, Ashley and Rob had their first look in a private courtyard. We then took advantage of all the beautiful backdrops the Southern Hotel has to offer from the red library room to the pink doors in the garden. Their ceremony, said by Ashley’s brother, was held in the courtyard complete with string lights and a beautiful fountain before we moved inside to the ballroom. After lots of dancing, they ended the night with a second line from Red Wolf Brass Band that went all throughout the hotel and courtyard. We all couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day and I was so thrilled to be apart of it! Click through below to see more photos from their wedding.

Black Bear Golf Club NJ Wedding Photographer

black Bear Country club wedding photography

Few things can beat the fall in Sussex County, New Jersey, so I was SO excited for Christine and Mike’s October wedding at Black Bear Golf Club. Even though it was predicted to rain the entire day, the only drops we felt were during the very last photo, and they added to the beauty of the moment. We couldn’t have been luckier! They got ready at a good friend’s home and had a first look in their gorgeous backyard filled with orange, yellow, and red leaves. We headed over to St. Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Church in Randolph, NJ for their ceremony, followed by Black Bear Golf Club for their reception where Christine + her daughter broke out amazing mother-daughter jackets. So thankful for the gorgeous weather we had for an amazing couple who have so much love for one another and all of their family and friends that surround them.
