Ashley signed her family up for my fall mini sessions and I was so excited when she reached out again for a summer session! She booked a 30 minute private family session for Cross Estate Gardens in Bernardsville, New Jersey. Their gardens are gorgeous, especially in the middle of summer and they don’t require a permit to photograph there. It’s definitely becoming one of my favorite places to photograph.

Frelinghuysen Arboretum is one of my favorite locations to photograph families in NJ. It’s located in Morristown NJ and I truly think it’s beautiful year round. I photographed one of my favorite families here in July while all the flowers were in full bloom. It does require a photo permit so reach out to me first for more information on securing it. It’s well worth it to have private access to these amazing gardens!

I’ve had the honor of photographing this couple’s engagement, wedding, and now newborn photos. This lifestyle newborn session in their Brooklyn home included their pup who posed perfectly with them. We took a few photos in their living room, the baby’s room, and then out front on their Brooklyn stoop!

I’ve done all sorts of newborn sessions in my photography career but lifestyle sessions at home are my favorite. The baby is most comfortable at home being held by their family so there’s a lot less fussing and a lot more opportunity to capture lovely moments. I had the honor of photographing their son when he was born so it was a special honor to come back and photograph their new little one!

The Cross Estate Gardens in Bernardsville New Jersey was the perfect backdrop for this family session. We made sure to set some time aside to get some maternity photos just of Caitlyn as well. Cross Estate Gardens has beautiful flowers blooming in July and August and I also love the field adjacent to the property (where we ended the session)! There’s no permit needed for photography which is obviously an awesome perk to this location.
